✨Alvinocarididae

Alvinocarididae là một họ tôm, được M. L. Christoffersen mô tả lần đầu tiên vào năm 1986 từ các mẫu do tàu DSV Alvin thu thập, từ đó chúng có tên như vậy. Các loài tôm thuộc họ Alvinocarididae thường sống ở các vùng lỗ thông thủy nhiệt dưới biển sâu và môi trường rò rỉ hydrocarbon lạnh. Các sắc tố carotenoid được tìm thấy trong cơ thể những loài tôm này.

Rimicaris kairei Watabe & Hashimoto, 2002 – Indian Ocean, Central Indian Ridge, Kairei hydrothermal vent field, , at a depth of ; also found in Edmonds hydrothermal vent field, NNW of Kairei hydrothermal vent field.
